The Collected Soul:

Regulate Together

Whether you’re a couple navigating disconnect or a team seeking stronger collaboration, the way we relate begins with how we regulate.

The Science of Connection for Couples and Teams

The Polyvagal Theory

This work is grounded in the Polyvagal Theory, a science-based framework developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and brought into the therapeutic world by Deb Dana. Understanding how our autonomic nervous system responds to cues of safety or threat and how those states shape the way we connect, communicate, and handle stress, helps bring deeper connection and healthy conflict resolution after rupture.

Research has shown that when people feel safe at a nervous system level, they become more resilient, compassionate, and open to connection, whether at home or in the workplace. Learning to recognize these states in ourselves and others allows for deeper empathy, more effective communication, and lasting repair after conflict.

When we understand the state of another person’s nervous system, everything changes. We can move from misattunement to repair, show up in ways that are actually meaningful to others, and meet challenges with curiosity rather than defense. This awareness becomes the groundwork for real transformation, not just resolving problems but creating connection that lasts.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How nervous systems interact within relationships and group dynamics through nervous system mapping

  • How to recognize dysregulation in yourself and others to restore meaningful connection

  • Practical tools and guidance for emotional clarity, attunement, and repair after rupture

  • Creating nervous system intelligent environments for collaboration, intimacy and growth

Whether you're deepening a romantic relationship or cultivating a more connected and attuned team culture, this work invites you to move beyond surface solutions and into embodied understanding.

This isn’t just about fixing what’s not working, it’s about learning a new way of being together, grounded in the science of safety, connection and co-regulation.
